In his early 20s, while completing his thesis documentary film at Brooks Institute of Photography, Thomas had a unique opportunity to live with the Hopi for 2 years documenting the Hopi way of life. One year later, he was in Dharamsala, India studying Tibetan medicine and aging. During his stay, Thomas had several private talks with the Dalai Lama . Upon returning to the States, Thomas became involved with the Shadow Vision Institute and became a spiritual adviser helping people with childhood sexual abuse, addiction, suicide, trauma and life transitions. At age 31, he became the Director of Field Operations for a private consciousness research project called the Genesis Affect Project. It was jointly operated with the Santa Fe Institute and Princeton University. At the age of 41, Thomas started a successful energy healing business in the Bay Area and facilitated men's groups. He also helped many artists tap into their unlimited creativity. Thomas facilitated psychedelic healing sessions and started Iboga Care. At age 48, he deepened his practice as an Asante Hospice Spiritual Care provider and served on the Compassionate Presence Project in Oregon, supporting clients and families with terminal illness and end of life decisions.

Modular Synthesis

Video Production

"Bart" Hawkins a modular synth music composer with over 10 albums released. He is a recording artist with Spotted Peccary Music and Cyclical Dreams. Unlike conventional synthesizers with fixed signal flows, modular systems offer unlimited flexibility by allowing users to route signals between modules like oscillators, filters, and amplifiers in any configuration, often using control voltage (CV) to automate parameters. I experience the modular synth as an esoteric instrument.

I am a graduate from Brooks Institute of Photography. I have produced award winning documentaries, national syndicated commercials, network TV shows and independent feature films. CNN, ABC, Turner Broadcasting, Coca-Cola, HGTV, The Weather Channel are some of my clients. I am currently producing a 6 part documentary.
